Hannah started preschool today! I can't believe she is old enough to be in school already! She still feels like she is my baby! I'm a little sad that I won't have any kids at home anymore! But at the same time it will be nice to have some free time! Hannah was SO excited to start preschool! I mean seriously excited! She had to lay her clothes out the night before, and she wanted to make her own lunch! She is going to school with several little friends of hers, so that makes it even more fun for her!Monday, August 29, 2011

Ethan's Baptism
Ethan turned 8 in May, but we waited to baptize him this summer while we were in Utah, so that all of our families could be there for it. We did it on July 30th. He was so excited to be baptized, and his dad and I couldn't be more proud. We got to plan our own program since we did our own private baptism. Both of Ethan's grandfathers gave talks and did an excellent job and directed their talks towards Ethan so he could understand it better. Ethan was also excited to get his own set of scriptures with his name engraved on them. It was such a memorable and fun evening, and I am so grateful that we were able to do it in Utah, and I am grateful for everyone that came. I hope Ethan will remember this day for the rest of his life! And know what a great decision he made to be baptized. Posted by *The Holbrook Family* at 2:21 PM 0 comments

Ethan's first day of 3rd Grade
Oh my goodness! Where does the time go? I can't believe Ethan is in 3rd grade! He wasn't super excited to start school, but who can blame him, I never was! He LOVED his teacher last year and was sad that he wasn't going to have her again. But I am sure he will like his teacher this year too! His friend Ally...who is in our ward is in his class, so he was excited about that! He is already coming home everyday telling me he is so worn out because the girls chase him every recess! What a nut! Ethan is such a good student and is very smart! Here in California they do what's called STAR testing, and we received Ethan's results and he scored as high as they could score on it! We were so proud of him! They said he is reading on a 7th grade level! I hope he continues to do so well all throughout his schooling!Posted by *The Holbrook Family* at 8:35 AM 0 comments

Summer pictures
So Dave bought a new lens for his fancy camera, and wanted to try it out, so while we were in Utah we went to Wheeler Farm and took a few pictures of the kids. Here are a couple of the 100's we took.
