Hannah first day of Preschool

Hannah started preschool today! I can't believe she is old enough to be in school already! She still feels like she is my baby! I'm a little sad that I won't have any kids at home anymore! But at the same time it will be nice to have some free time! Hannah was SO excited to start preschool! I mean seriously excited! She had to lay her clothes out the night before, and she wanted to make her own lunch! She is going to school with several little friends of hers, so that makes it even more fun for her!

Ethan's Baptism

Ethan turned 8 in May, but we waited to baptize him this summer while we were in Utah, so that all of our families could be there for it. We did it on July 30th. He was so excited to be baptized, and his dad and I couldn't be more proud. We got to plan our own program since we did our own private baptism. Both of Ethan's grandfathers gave talks and did an excellent job and directed their talks towards Ethan so he could understand it better. Ethan was also excited to get his own set of scriptures with his name engraved on them. It was such a memorable and fun evening, and I am so grateful that we were able to do it in Utah, and I am grateful for everyone that came. I hope Ethan will remember this day for the rest of his life! And know what a great decision he made to be baptized.

Ethan's first day of 3rd Grade

Oh my goodness! Where does the time go? I can't believe Ethan is in 3rd grade! He wasn't super excited to start school, but who can blame him, I never was! He LOVED his teacher last year and was sad that he wasn't going to have her again. But I am sure he will like his teacher this year too! His friend Ally...who is in our ward is in his class, so he was excited about that! He is already coming home everyday telling me he is so worn out because the girls chase him every recess! What a nut! Ethan is such a good student and is very smart! Here in California they do what's called STAR testing, and we received Ethan's results and he scored as high as they could score on it! We were so proud of him! They said he is reading on a 7th grade level! I hope he continues to do so well all throughout his schooling!

Summer pictures

So Dave bought a new lens for his fancy camera, and wanted to try it out, so while we were in Utah we went to Wheeler Farm and took a few pictures of the kids. Here are a couple of the 100's we took.

Hannah's Dance Recital

This past weekend Hannah had her little dance recital. She did so good! We were so proud of her. Her grandma and Grandpa Cooper were able to come down and see her big performance, and she was so excited to have them there! Now that she is done with the 3 year old class, she gets to move on to the 4 year old class, where they get to learn tap now! She is so excited!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Monday, March 28, 2011

Dave and I went with a bunch of friends bowling for some St. Patrick's day fun! We had tons of fun, and I was quite impressed with myself, I bowled a 119!!! Crazy! I never bowl that good! We have a fun group of friends that get together once a month minus the kids to have some fun. Last month we went roller skating and I must say I was a little nervous because I haven't been since like jr. high, but it all came back to me and it was SO much fun! I thought this picture of us turned out cute, we have been enjoying lot's of date nights since Dave got out of school, it's been nice!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Today when we woke up a leprechaun had visited our house during the night. He left a trail of green footprints from the front door to where Ethan's traps were. And then he had knocked over and destroyed the traps and got away. But he did leave chocolate gold coins! Ethan was very disappointed that he didn't catch the leprechaun! Infact he was down right MAD!!! He said his traps were stupid and that he couldn't make good enough traps and so on and so on!! He was pretty upset! He didn't even care about the chocolate gold coins because he was mad that they weren't real! ha ha Maybe he's getting too old for this! I was hoping that he would forget about the traps this year but oh no, he came right home from school and went to work on it! I am so mad that I didn't get a picture of it this year. I am so bad at remembering to get my camera out lately! And the kids had the whole set up taken apart before I remembered my camera.
Also..this morning when I was doing Hannah's hair she said "Mom I have a secret" and I said oh ya what is it? And she said she woke up in the middle of the night and saw the leprechaun dancing with a magic wand in her bedroom. She even showed me how big he was. She said when he saw she was awake he told her to go back to bed, and then she said he just stared at her all night! ha ha Then she said he had a tiny green dog and that they both lived in a tiny green gingerbread house just down the street. What a nut! I asked her to show me where exactly this little house was, but she said she couldn't it was a secret! These kids make me laugh and make life so fun! I love them so much!

Cake Push Ups

I remember having ice cream push ups from the Schwan's man all the time growing up! But how cool would it be to have cake push ups? I just found these on a blog and I think I totally need to make some! How fun would these be?!

Hannah's 4th Birthday Party

Hannah turned 4 on January 22nd. She wanted so badly to have a friend party, so this was her first one! She wanted a fairy tea party. So I made tutu's and wands , and bought wings for each of the girls, so they could all be fairies. Then we painted fairy houses, had a tea party, and played "elefun". But we turned it into a tree that they caught fairy wings out of it. It was a pretty cute party if I do say so myself! Hannah had so much fun!
