Snow at Town Square

A couple of weekends ago, we took the kids to town square to see the snow there. It was fun, but cold! But the kids loved dancing in the snowflakes that were falling! Little did we know that it was going to snow for real a few days later!

Ethan playing on the little stage at the park that they have there.

The kids enjoyed the park more than the shopping or christmas lights

Snowing at town square? They have a machine that makes snow in the center of town square, it was pretty cool, and the kids enjoyed it.

This was the little house that Santa was in, but the line was sooooo long that we didn't wait in it since the kids had already seen santa at another mall.

Snow in Vegas???

HO HO HO!

You can tell Hannah wasn't too excited about sitting on Santa's lap!

Ethan even was a little nervous to talk to Santa

This past weekend we took the kids to the mall to see Santa. Ethan wasn't too excited about it, but Hannah was so excited. I told her all about it that morning, and all day she kept saying "Santa....lap, Santa....lap"! And we would ask her what she wanted for Christmas and she kept saying Candy! She was even excited when she saw him there and all while we were waiting in line, she kept pointing to him saying Santa lap. But when Dave went to sit her on his lap, boy she threw the biggest fit! So she didn't last very long on his lap! And Ethan was so shy, we had to work on him to even talk to him. Crazy kids! I remember being so excited as a kid to see Santa, my parents even took us to all the malls so that we could see every Santa around town. We heard that the santa down at Town Square is really fun, so I told Ethan that we are going to go there too, and he threw a fit, saying No I don't want to see another one! What's up with that!! We have been doing a countdown till christmas with the kids, they think that elves come at night and leave them a poem with a special treat in a stocking each night. We left a letter that said it was from the elves on the first day, that said if they weren't good the elves wouldn't leave them something, so Saturday, Ethan was horrible all day, so the elves only left something for Hannah and left just a note for Ethan that said they saw him being naughty. He did not like that at all. He was so upset! So I hope maybe he will try to be better in hopes that they return! It is so fun during the holidays with kids, they make it so much more fun! I always hate to see christmas day come because the season is what makes it so fun! It is so fun to see Ethan think that there is really elves coming and to hear him talk about them, like they are real! What would we do without kids?

Hometown Holidays

Dave and the kids on the sleigh ride

Dave and all the kids riding the train ride

Hannah and Cinderella (it was funny because she wouldn't go near any of the other characters, but when Cinderella came to her, she held her arms out to her!

The kids and I with Raggedy Ann and Andy

Waiting in line for the sleigh ride

Tonight we went to the annual Summerlin Hometown Holidays. It was alot of fun, and cold!! We went with some friends from our ward and the kids had a blast. We went on a sleigh ride pulled by a horse, had hot chocolate and cookies, played in bouncy houses, rode a train ride, listened to carolers, saw santa(except we were too late to get to sit on his lap). Watched all kinds of characters dance on a stage, and there was so much more to do, but we spent the whole night standing in line for the sleigh ride, so we missed out on some things. But overall it was so much fun!

9 famous words!!

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE (when talking to their husbands)

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' that will bring on a 'whatever').

(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU! ( Well I don't think I would be using that word, but definitely something bad!!!)

(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to #3.

I got this in an email from my sister, and I don't know about all of you, but this is us exactly!! You couldn't have described us better!!
