You can tell Hannah wasn't too excited about sitting on Santa's lap!
Ethan even was a little nervous to talk to Santa
This past weekend we took the kids to the mall to see Santa. Ethan wasn't too excited about it, but Hannah was so excited. I told her all about it that morning, and all day she kept saying "Santa....lap, Santa....lap"! And we would ask her what she wanted for Christmas and she kept saying Candy! She was even excited when she saw him there and all while we were waiting in line, she kept pointing to him saying Santa lap. But when Dave went to sit her on his lap, boy she threw the biggest fit! So she didn't last very long on his lap! And Ethan was so shy, we had to work on him to even talk to him. Crazy kids! I remember being so excited as a kid to see Santa, my parents even took us to all the malls so that we could see every Santa around town. We heard that the santa down at Town Square is really fun, so I told Ethan that we are going to go there too, and he threw a fit, saying No I don't want to see another one! What's up with that!! We have been doing a countdown till christmas with the kids, they think that elves come at night and leave them a poem with a special treat in a stocking each night. We left a letter that said it was from the elves on the first day, that said if they weren't good the elves wouldn't leave them something, so Saturday, Ethan was horrible all day, so the elves only left something for Hannah and left just a note for Ethan that said they saw him being naughty. He did not like that at all. He was so upset! So I hope maybe he will try to be better in hopes that they return! It is so fun during the holidays with kids, they make it so much more fun! I always hate to see christmas day come because the season is what makes it so fun! It is so fun to see Ethan think that there is really elves coming and to hear him talk about them, like they are real! What would we do without kids?

So funny! Tyler has been asking to see Santa. It will be interesting to see how he acts. That's funny about the elves coming every night. That's really extra incentive to be good everyday until Christmas!

The elf thing is a cute idea!! I think I might have to try that!! Gavin was so excited to see Santa, but I knew that when he would get close to him he would freak out, he is soooooo shy!! But, to my surprise he went over to him and sat right down on his lap and talked to him and told him what he wanted!! A bish!! ha ha ha!! Kids are what make the holidays fun. I agree the holiday season is what makes christmas so fun!!!

i took my kids the other day to see santa but they didn't want you taking your own pics. i took one anyway, really fast. emily talked to him while i was holding her, and told him she wanted rings. ryan sat on his lap and told him all about the general grievous and kit fitso costumes he wants. he may be a bit disappointed on x-mas morning. anyway, i just found out today we get to go to slc earlier than sunday. i think we will go wed or thur. glad the kids will have a few days to spend together again.
