phoenix pictures

The three little girls playing together, it is so fun to have them so close in age, they will grow up being best of friends.

The three oldest cousins, they love getting together and playing non stop, I just wish we all lived in the same town, so they could get together more often.

This is my brother in law Darrel, or should I say Evil Knievel, you can't help but laughing at this one. Thanks Darrel for giving us a fashion show!

Hannah Banana

Ethan and his cousin Ryan love playing nintendo together, they would sit like this all day if they could.

The three oldest cousins taking a bath together, they had such a fun time together

Hannah and her cousin Emily watching t.v. together

I think this is such a cute picture of Hannah, she looks so adorable.

Hannah's cousin Emily giving her a hug, they are so cute together

I am not sure what Hannah is trying to do here, maybe pick Emily's nose or something.

Ethan and Ryan rode around the backyard like this.

Another picture of Ethan and Ryan cruising around in the backyard, having so much fun.

Despite the hard week we had in phoenix, it was so good to see the whole family. I just wish it could have been under better circumstances. The kids loved being together and playing all day long. I wish we could see more of each other. Times like this make you really grow closer as a family and make you realize how important families really are. We love you all, and thank you so much to Amy and Darrel for putting up with us for a week. (Lisa, apparently I didn't get any pictures of Hannah and Carly together, I feel really bad that we don't have any.)

THIS JUST IN!!!!!!

Just as I posted the last post about Dave's dad, I got a call from Dave and he talked to his mom, and they were able to take the ventilator out this morning! Yeah!!! Dave said that his dad said "Hi David" to him on the phone! I am so glad that they were able to take it out and I hope he continues to get better and stay off of it. Now hopefully things will start improving.

Dave's Dad Update

We are finally home after a long hard week in pheonix. We went to pheonix for a 3 day weekend and ended up staying for a week, so that we could be there with family. Dave's dad has his good and bad days. He has said all of our names, and the grandkids names. When he had the ventilator out the first time, he was talking to us a little, and wanting his diet coke. It was so good to see him responding to us. Then he came down with neumonia and had a hard time breathing so they had to put the ventilator back in. They have to keep him heavily sedated while the tube is in, so he can't talk to us, but he is trying to comunicate by moving his fingers and holding one or two up to yes or no questions. We are hoping that the neumonia clears up soon, so that they can take him off of the ventilator and he can start getting better. It is so hard to see him like this, I can't believe this accident has happened. It almost seems unreal. I can't believe that you can go from happy and having fun in one second and like this the next. Ethan is having a hard time understanding all that is going on. He knows that Grandpa is hurt really bad, and keeps asking why he can't see him. When we first got the phone call about the accident and Ethan heard us talking he said "Mom, I can tell that this is really serious." and then he heard us talking about how the ATV landed on top of grandpa and he asked me in a serious tone "Mom, does that mean that grandpa is flat." And will he puff back up. You can't help but laughing at that. We figured he got it from watching spongebob squarepants, because when things land on top of him, he is flattened. What a nut! We just hope that with all the praying and fasting that everything will be fine and he will have a full recovery. We love him and wish him the best!
(Lisa, I hope you don't mind that I copied the pictures off of your blog since I don't have any.)
Here is Dave's Dad in the hospital, it is so sad to see him like this, poor guy!

*UPDATE* Dave's Dad

Dave's dad has made a lot of progress in the last few days. He is much more responsive and is now attempting to talk a little. He is still a little deficient on his left side but he'll get it back. It's such a relief to see him getting better. He probably still has a long road ahead but with everyone's support he''ll get through it fine. We are grateful for everyone's prayers and concern. Lisa has posted a video on her blog taken this morning. You can link to it from our blog. Please keep him in your prayers.

Dave's Dad

**Warning** If you don't like the sight of blood don't look at the second picture.
How Dave's dad got to the hospital.
Dave's dad in the hospital.

Many of you may have heard about Dave's dad. He was involved in an ATV accident in Phoenix on Saturday and suffered a severe head injury. He was life-flighted to the hospital. Fortunately he did not have any C-spine injuries and only minor fractures of his nose(again), pinky on his left hand and a small fracture of his cervical vertebrae. He is in a drug induced coma but showing signs of improvement. At first they thought he was going to have to have a ventricular drain to help relieve the pressure on his brain but he did not need it. They might even extubate him today, but we will see. We will try to keep the blog updated as soon as possible. Please keep him in your prayers.

Hannah Doing Yoga!

So, apparently Hannah has taken up yoga! This is what she likes to do lately!

I like to call this my "downward dog" position.
(sorry about the coloring)

Peekaboo! How do you like my yoga?

What a workout!

Hannah has been trying to get up in Ethan's little recliner, but hasn't quite been able to. But finally she has mastered it!

She likes to climb up into the chair and then stand like this and dance. I am afraid she is going to fall on her head one of these days.

Hooray!! I made it up into the chair!

Wheww! Now I have to rest!

*Pictures Of The Kids*

Hannah brushing her teeth

Here mom, it is your turn to brush! She wants to put it into my mouth after she is done with it. She also thinks it is so funny to feed me her food. So I will let her feed me cheerios sometimes, and she gets a kick out of it.

Hannah thinks she is pretty cool sitting in her chair. She also likes to climb on it and use it as a stool to get onto the coffee table.

Hannah loves this spin brush toothbrush, she loves to sit and suck on it while it is spinning

Ethan actually holding still and smiling for me to take a picture of him.

Ethan playing with his Legos

I wanted a picture of them close together, and this is what I got! I think Hannah looks like she is being choked to death.

My two cuties playing with each other.

Ethan and his friend Garrett playing in their fire engine fort!

Ethan and Garrett again. They have gotten to be quite good little buddies. He plays at his house quite a bit, and we have had him over a few times also, and they have so much fun together. This past week we were babysitting him, and Ethan had a fit because he wanted to babysit him all day! They both are really into transformers, so they have a lot of fun playing that.

Tagged......by someone who likes leather pants!

So for those of you that don't know my brother in law. He likes to be funny and weird(like Dave). So he decided to make a tag about leather pants as a joke!
Here are the instructions for those who are tagged:

1. Grab your nearest computer.
2. Open the internet to page http://www.leatherup.com/c/Leather-Pants-Chaps/1/146.html
3. Find the sexiest pants
4. Post the text picture of the pants on your blog along with these instructions.

I picked these ones because I really like the butt hanging out, I thought that would be real sexy. I thought a nice pair of red stilletos would look better than those boots. If I were to be wearing these I would just wear a thong underneath, that would look much better than Levi's, don't you think?! Nice tag, John! I was laughing when I looked at these pants, you are such a nut!

I don't know who I would send this tag to, so anyone that reads this and would like to participate, go for it!
