I thought it would be fun to post some things about the kids at this stage in their lives. More for me to remember them. I love having this blog, because not only can I keep in touch with friends and family but it is a good way of journaling our lives, since I am not a big scrapbooker at all!
*HANNAH*
Some things about Hannah at 17 months-
*She loves shoes, even other people's shoes, she is constantly wanting me to put shoes on her even first thing in the morning. Or she is tromping around the house wearing mine or Dave's.
* She loves Dogs, or as she puts it "Goggies"! She can hear a bark out of no where and instantly gets so excited and starts saying "goggie", "goggie". She loves stuffed animals too, she is constantly carrying one around with her!
*She loves to suck on silky blankies. She has to go to sleep with a wad in her mouth sucking on it. I think that is comforting to her, her way of a binky.
*She says quite a few words, such as: mommy, dada, goggie, shoes, sishy(fishy), ball, wah-wah(water), bow, owie, no, boon(balloon), go, night night, bye bye, baby, pee-pee(pretty) , got- gogs(hotdogs) cookie, kacko (cracker), Hi, Uv-ew(love you), Oh-oh, daint-doo(thank you), ow-side(outside), peez(please), down, me, etc.
* Her favorite movie is "Finding Nemo". She LOVES it!! Every single day, several times a day, she will bring the remote to me, saying"sishy", over and over until I put it on. And she will actually sit and watch it for awhile, then she goes to play, and then comes back for some more.
*Her favorite foods are fruit snacks, chicken nuggets, hot dogs (got gogs), pizza, pb&j sandwiches, cookies, pretzels and especially chocolate!
*She absolutely LOVES being outside. We can't even walk by a door or open it without her freaking out that she needs to go outside. And when she is outside she loves to eat dirt and suck on rocks.
* She loves to have bows in her hair, first thing in the morning when I come in she says"bow", because she wants one in to keep her hair out of her face. And she is so good about letting me do her hair, I am so picky about it, it always has to look just right, so I am so glad that whenever I say "Hannah let's go do your hair", she goes running into my bathroom and lifts her arms up so I can put her on my counter.
*She also loves babies, real babies and doll babies. Whenever she see's a baby somewhere she goes crazy saying "baby" over and over! She loves to push her baby dolls around in their stroller and she has to put her little purse over her arm, it is so cute.
*She knows how to make the sound for a monkey, dog, cat, duck, and horse.
*She knows where her eyes, nose, ears, mouth, toes, and belly button are.
*She loves to go for walks in the wagon.
There are so many more things to say about her, but I could just go on and on, and run out of room. She is such a fun little girl, that makes us laugh all the time, she knows how to obey simple commands and goes to get things for us quite often. She is all girl, and I love it! I love having a little girl and all the girlie things that come with it. We love her so much and are so glad she is in our family.
*ETHAN*
Some things about Ethan at age 5....
*Ethan's favorite color is orange.
*Ethan LOVES transformers, his 5th birthday was all about transformers.
*He loves pirates, and anything to do with skulls and crossbones. He has some summer outfits with skulls on them, and he could wear those everyday if I let him.
*He just graduated from preschool, and is registered to start kindergarten this coming fall. He is so excited!!!
*He always wants to help me make dinner and wash dishes.
*He loves to play with his friends, and have them over to play in his pool, sandbox, and with his toys.
*He has such an imagination, and makes up the funniest things sometimes, we can't help but laugh at him.
*He loves to ride his scooter, but won't dare attempt to ride his bike, even with training wheels.
*His favorite foods are: Mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, chinese food, pizza, any kind of candy, and a huge glass of milk. He is actually really picky though, we have a hard time getting him to eat.
*He loves to go for walks, especially when we walk to the park right by our house. Lucky for him, we do it every Sunday night.
*His favorite movies are: Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Bee movie, Monster House, I could keep going.
*His favorite cartoons are: Spongebob Squarepants, Mickey Mouse club, The backyardigans, and little einsteins, I also could keep going here too.
*He loves stuffed animals, and sleeps with about 10 of them everynight, and if one is missing he knows and has to search for it. He also has to sleep with his 2 "deedle dee's", which are little blankies that he has had forever, and when he was first talking he called them deedle dees, and to this day, we all still call them that.
There are so many more things I could say about Ethan too, but not enought time or space. He is such a fun little boy, and says things to us that just crack us up. He is so creative and imaginative. He definitely has a mind of his own, and likes to give us a run for his money. He is really good at helping me out with Hannah, and keeping an eye on her while I am showering. He is always so inquisitive and wants to know how everything is made or built, and how it works. He is so smart! We love having him in our family, even though he is growing so fast, he will always be my baby boy!!
We went to Lagoon, which is an amusement park in Utah. We had alot of fun, despite the heat, and crowds. Ethan was a little scared of the rides at first, but then we forced him on some of the little kiddie rides, and then he really enjoyed them, he wanted to go on them over and over again. He said he had soooooo much fun, so that is good! Hannah only went on the train ride, and she liked that, especially seeing the animals along the way. My dad won all the kids a big blow up bat, by throwing a baseball at least 40mph, and he did 57mph, so he had to do it 3 times so they each could have one, even Hannah got a pink one. They thought it was pretty cool. We had a good time with my family, it has been years since the last time I had been to Lagoon, I'm talking like back in high school. The only thing missing from our day was Dave, he had to stay back in Vegas while we went. Maybe next time, Dave!
