So today something happened that I have been dreading but knew would eventually happen! You know all those posts about how I just hate the thought of my son starting school and sending him out in this evil world where he will be taught bad things and will no longer be my innocent little boy? Well today, my fears came true!! He came home and told me that a kid in his class taught him a new word, but the teacher said it was bad and that they shouldn't say it. So we asked him what that word was, and he said "What the f-word"!! Dave and I were like WHAT!!!!! What did you just say?!?! So we had to have a little sit down and discuss how that was such a really bad word, and that we should never say that word ever!! My poor little innocent boy, he has never heard that word until today, and didn't realize how bad it was!! Dave and I just hope that he will remember what we told him and that he will never use it!! I can't believe it is already starting and he is only in kindergarten!!! I pray everyday that we can teach our kids to know right from wrong and always choose the right and that they will always remember what we teach them and never stray!! It is such an evil world out there and peer pressure is so strong!! You can be from a strong religious family and still give into the temptations of the world and fall so far away, I have seen it happen to my brother and what it has done to my parents and I just pray so hard everyday that, that won't happen to my kids!! It also doesn't help by living in Vegas, where your the only LDS kid in your class!!

oh my gosh.... home schooling sounds better and better all the time. you should talk dave into coming down next week. the kids could go trick or treating together. that would be fun!
Oh Kristy, I'm so sorry. That's awful. I hope he learned to never say it again, and that he won't.
p.s. the kids look so cute in their costumes!
The sad part is that they learn that stuff in Utah as well. It is scary world! Do your best to teach them the right things and always make sure they feel comfortable coming to you with their problems, just like Ethan did. Good job, Mommy!
Oh my goodness! That is so crazy! And, he's only in kindergarten. What's sad is the kid who told it to Ethan probably hears it at home all the time. How sad is that? They really are so innocent, but it's better they hear what is right and wrong from you and not from the kids at school.
Thanks for the Halloween picture! They both look so cute! I hope you guys have a fun Halloween!
Times have changed since we were young, and it doesn't feel that long ago!! I didn't ever hear anything like that at that age, it really is sad to see how things are in school now days!! I am really scared for when Gavin goes to school, I to hope he chooses to make the right decisions, and not end up like Robbie!! That little story brought a tear to my eye!!
That is terrible. I was so worried about MaKenna picking up bad stuff at school as well. So far so good. I agree with Amber it is better he learn from you guys what is right and wrong. Too bad it had to start so early.
The Halloween picture of your kids was so cute. Thank you.
I nominated you for this blogger award tag but I totally understand if you don't want to respond. I just thought I'd let you know about it.
