Halloween Night

We went to Town Square on Halloween night for trick or treating! It was so crowded, but the kids had fun. We went with some of our friends, and Dave's parents. Trick or treating seems so different here in Vegas. I don't feel comfortable going trick or treating around our neighborhood when we only know about a couple of our neighbors. In Utah we pretty much knew everyone of our neighbors. I miss that!! Town square is a new outdoors mall here in Vegas and they were doing trick or treating at all of the stores, so we thought that would be fun for the kids. It was so crowded and the candy wasn't that great, so I don't know if I would go there again next year!! When we got back from town square, our neighbor across the street wanted us to bring the kids over to their house so they could see them in their costumes, so while we were doing that it was still early enough that we took them to some houses around ours, and as we went to the first house, Ethan said "Mom why are we going to our neighbors house for candy?" and I realized that he had never done trick or treating at someone's house before. So we explained to him that we used to do that and that is usually how you do trick or treating. He still thought it was weird!! So who knows maybe next year we will be somewhere where we can go trick or treating around the neighborhood!

Growing up in Las Vegas we would have a carnival at the church a few days before Halloween and then trick or treat in our neighborhood on Halloween. Just in the last 10 years have they started Truck or Treats. But hey I am not complaining yet, My kids are still to little to drag all over. I think they get more candy in a less amount of time without complaining that they are tired.

Cute pictures!! Hopefully you are here next year so we can take Hannah and Ethan treak or treating to the neighbors instead of a mall!! Looks like you had a fun holiday. Ethan and Hannah look so cute in their costumes!! I bet Ethan had fun in his parade at school, I always did. I miss those days of elementary!! I want to be a room mother when Gavin is in school!! That always looks so fun !
