Ethan's First Day of 1st Grade

Ethan was so excited to start school today! He may not look like it from the pictures, but this morning while he was eating breakfast he said "Mom, I was laying in bed thinking about how excited I am to go to school today!" I am so glad that he is excited about it, it makes it a little easier for me to send him off! I am a little sad that he is going to be gone all day! It will be nice in some ways though! I feel bad that he has to start here in Salt Lake and then transfer out to california in awhile! He went in to meet with his teacher yesterday and she tested him on some stuff and he did so good, she said that she thought he was going to be one of her top students! I hope he enjoys going all day and actually eats during lunch time and not play around! I can't believe he is old enough to be in 1st grade and going all day! Wow how the past 6 years have flown!!

Yellowstone National Park

So this past week, we had the chance to go to Yellowstone with my mom, and my relatives from Portland. We had so much fun! Ethan was so excited to go, from the time we planned on going he was looking up videos on the internet all about yellowstone and his grandpa bought him a book all about yellowstone also. And that is all he talked about until it was time to go! He loved it and had to look everything he saw up in that book! I am so glad that we got to go, we just wish Dave would have been here to go with us!

Ethan refused to let me take pictures of him, it was such a battle to get any, but this one he actually wanted. He came up to me and said "Mom can you take a picture of me by this bison?" Apparently he liked that he could get this close to it. I was a little worried it was going to get up and run after us all.

Butlerville Days

On the 24th of July all of Dave's family got together and had a little reunion! It was so much fun for all of us to get together and the kids had a blast! We went to the annual Butlerville days, which is a fun parade and fireworks! We decided this is going to be a family tradition!!
