We Have So Much To Be Thankful For!

I have been listening to the new christmas album by Josh Groban. It is a great CD, and there is a song on it with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Anyway, there is this song on there called "Thankful", it is a great song. There is a part where it says "we have so much to be thankful for". And it is so true, it made me realize that I do have so much to be thankful for.

Things that I am thankful for:

*Dave- He is such a great dad, and does so much for our kids. He is such a hardworker. I am so proud of him for all the schooling he has accomplished and will accomplish in the next year and a half. He has worked so hard for it and totally deserves it. I could never do it. I know I don't tell him this but, I really do appreciate all that he does for me and our family. I really appreciate all the help that he gives around the home and with the kids. I am so thankful that he is my husband and I love him so much.

*Ethan- He is my favorite little boy in the whole world! He brings so much joy and excitement into our lives. He keeps us laughing all the time. He amazes me with all that he knows and wants to know. I am so proud of him! I am so thankful that the Lord finally decided after 3 years to bless us with his sweet little spirit. My life wouldn't be the same without him. I just love him so much!

*Hannah- She is my very sweet little girl! I love her so much! She too brings so much joy to our lives. I can't imagine our family without her. She is such a happy little girl and is constantly smiling at everyone. It is so fun to go and get her out of bed in the mornings, because she is always so excited to see you. She makes getting up early worth it. I am so thankful that I have been blessed with such a great little girl.

*Family- Both my family and Dave's family are the best! Our parents have done so much for us and supported us throughout Dental School. Words can't express how grateful we are to them. We love our siblings and their families, we love when they come to visit or when we get to visit them. Ethan just loves his cousins and wishes he could see them more.

* Friends
* The Gospel- for the plan of salvation, and that we can be a family forever!
* Our Health
* Being able to be a stay at home mom!
* Our House-(we finally have a yard for Ethan, and we don't have to walk a mile from our car to our house.)
* Naptime- Especially when Hannah and Ethan are taking one at the same time!
* Other People's Blogs-I spend alot of time looking at other people's blogs, I am seriously obsessed with it.
* DVR- Without this I would never watch tv. I never watch tv until after my kids have gone to bed. So if I didn't have this to record shows that I wanted to see then I would never get to see them.
* Water- For those of you that know me, I drink a serious amount of water each day. I can't go without for very long. I have to have a water bottle with me wherever I go.

And there are many, many more, but the list could get really long, so I will stop here.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!

Family Home Evening

Last night we had family home evening and it was about our blessings and being thankful for them. Well we were talking about being thankful for our homes and the things inside them, and then I asked Ethan what would we do if we didn't have a home or any of the blessings inside of it. And he said "we would just be drunk", Dave and I looked at each other and said what the heck does that mean. Well then Ethan went on to say, "we would be drunk and sleep in sleeping bags and be like the bums on the streets." Here in Vegas there are a ton of homeless people all over, even in store parking lots trying to get money from you. So I guess he has really noticed them. Dave and I had to laugh at that. But then I asked him again later, and he said "we would just pray to Heavenly Father and Jesus and ask them for a home and stuff that we need, and then they would just give it to us." I told him that sometimes it is not that easy. It is so cute that kids are so innocent and don't know what goes on in that scary world out there. I wish I could keep my kids in our home and they would never have to know the evils of the world. In our family home evening we wrote down our blessing on pieces of fruit(and ethan drew pictures of his blessings) and then we put the fruit in a cornucopia. Ethan had three pictures, on one it was a picture of him and his dad, on the other it was Ethan and mom, and the other was Ethan and Hannah. I was so impressed that he listed his family instead of material things. I am so proud of him! I always think that he never pays attention to the lessons, and doesn't remember what we are trying to teach him, but then he always surprises us. I am so thankful for the little family home evenings that we are trying to have and the spirit that comes from that. I hope that it will make us a better family, and to help teach our kids about the gospel.

The Kids

So I thought I would just post a few of our recent pictures of the kids, they aren't anything fancy, but just some random shots. It is hard to get good one's lately. Ethan hates to have his picture taken, unless I am taking one of Hannah, then he likes to get right in front of her. And Hannah is constantly on the move, so just as I get her sitting right, she takes off. So alot of action shots.
Hannah and Ethan looking cute, and playing together.
Ethan and his cheesy smile

Hannah and Ethan playing on the kitchen floor

Hannah is starting to show a liking for "babies" she points to the gerber baby on all the packages and says "Baby" everytime she see's a container or package with it on it. She got so excited when she saw this baby, so you know me I just couldn't resist getting it for her. (but I must say it was at Big Lots for only $6) It crawls along on the floor and giggles and then it falls down and starts crying, she thinks it is the funniest thing.

One of the rare instances where Ethan will let me take a picture of him.

Hannah chews on everything all day long. Here she is chewing on a battery operated tea light.

Hannah watching some t.v. while playing on the floor

I thought she looked so cute in this outfit, so I had to take a few pictures.

Hannah standing up on the side of the bathtub, with some seriously wild hair!

Here is my little Hannah Banana standing on a book and dancing with her sing along stage.

I Have Been Tagged.....Again!!!!!

I found out that I had been tagged by Kara last week and I wasn't going to do a post on it because I hate the whole tagging thing, but then that same week Summer tagged me, and now Amber has tagged me, so I guess since 3 people have tagged me in the last week or so I should do it.

Here are the rules:
A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player lists 6 little known facts/habits about themselves.
C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I absolutely hate toys all over the house!!! I know I have two kids so it is bound to happen, but I really can't stand it. I have finally come to my senses and wait until the kids go to bed for the night and then I will clean them all up. I used to clean them up as soon as they were done playing with it. But only to find that it will be right back out. I once told Ethan that toys were only allowed in his room, and no where else. That didn't work. It is impossible to not have toys all over. You think I would not buy my kids so many toys for this reason, but I love to buy my kids stuff, it is my downfall.

2. I am literally obsessed with blogs! I love to read other peoples blogs, to get ideas, and to see what they are up to. I am really bad! Dave says it is all I do anymore, and it is the truth.

3. I am a night person. I love to stay up late and watch all my recorded shows on my DVR after the kids go to bed. I hate to see the night end. And I am not a morning person. But ever since we had Hannah I have had to learn to be a morning person. We were spoiled with Ethan, he always slept in, but little Hannah has to rise at 7:30am!!! TOO EARLY!!!

4. I am a junk-food-aholic! I have the worst diet on the planet! My daily intake is primarily junk food. I always have to have a cupboard full of it. Dave hates that I eat like that. I really should stop!

5. I absolutely HATE to cook! I am not that good at it either. If I don't have a recipe then forget it. I just dread when dinner time comes because I know I am going to have to make it. My poor family!

6. I LOVE babies!!!!! Especially one of my own! I always tell Dave that I could have a permanent baby around. I dont want alot of kids, but I just want one that would stay a little baby forever. I am totally serious on having one forever! If anyone can figure out how that would work let me know!

I am not going to tag anyone, because all of my friends/family have already been tagged within the last few weeks, so I won't make you all do it again.
