My Poor Baby!

So today, my little Hannah gave us a scare. She has been sick the last couple of days, throwing up and not eating or drinking anything. So after not having a wet diaper in almost 24 hours and throwing up again this morning and acting so lethargic, I took her into the doctor, and they told me I had to take her to the E.R.! I was a little scared when they said that. I took her to the E.R. with Ethan in tow. As I am filling out the paper work and there is a million people waiting there, Ethan decides to start throwing up. So here I am all alone stressed because my baby is so dehydrated and sick and there are a million people around and Ethan throwing up on top of all this. Lots of fun! They had to draw some blood from her poor little arms, the lab girl couldn't get any blood out of the first arm after digging around for awhile, so she went to the other arm and after quite awhile and telling me that she keeps hitting her elbow bone, she finally got blood. Her poor little arms are bruised. At this point I was about ready to lose it, because Hannah was just freaking out, Dave wasn't there, and Ethan is laying on the floor sick. Finally Dave was able to reschedule his patients and come up there with us. Thanks Goodness! They wanted to try some things before doing I.V. fluids, so they gave her some medicine that would stop the nausea and then we had to give her the same amount of fluids in a bottle that they would have had given her in an I.V. And then wait to see if she could keep it all down. Luckily she did and after 4 1/2 hours she was released to go home. Her blood tests did show that she was extremely dehydrated, and even her liver and kidneys showed that she was. So I am so thankful that the medicine worked and that she drank all of the pedialyte so that we wouldn't have to give her an I.V! It is so sad to see your little ones so sick! It just breaks your heart. I love my kids so much, and hate to see them hurt! I am so thankful that Hannah is feeling better! Ethan is doing better also! What a nightmare of a day, I am so glad that it is over!!!!

Kristy,
I'm so sorry you had such a hard day. I feel some responsibility for your kids being sick seeing how they probably got it from Hailey and Carly. I hate when little babies and kids are sick. Poor Hannah and Ethan. I'm so sorry.

I'm glad that I went to Target today and that those chairs were on sale, I thought of you right away. I'm sorry I interrupted you while you were at the E.R. and I understand why you didn't call me back, it's totally okay.

I hope you will be okay with me not mailing the chair to you seeing that it is fairly large and heavy.

Anyway, I hope things go better for you and that your kids get better very quick

Lisa- Don't feel responsible for my kids getting sick. Your kids weren't throwing up! That is totally fine if you don't mail the chair, ha ha ha, I wasn't expecting you to. I am just glad that you got them for that cheap. My target doesn't even have any! How are Carly and Hailey? Are they all better? I was up all night throwing up, it was alot of fun. Luckily Dave was able to stay home this morning to watch the kids for me. I am feeling better and not throwing up anymore (cross my fingers). So Dave went in to school to see his patients, since how he cancelled some yesterday. It has been a crazy week, I will be glad when it is over and we are all better. See ya!

I am so sorry Kristy! What a day! You feel so helpless when you can't do anything to help them! That is the worst feeling. I am glad it all worked out. I hate when they stick needles in little babies!

Yikes- that sounds like one horrible day/week/ however long it actually lasted!! I'm glad you guys didn't end up getting admitted and got to take her home to familiar surroundings to get better! Looks like, previous to this, you guys had a nice Christmas. Thanks for the cute card- what a fun photo!
